Mexican and Latin cuisine in the heart of Adelaide
Like a Mexican wave sweeping across Adelaide, American chef Gregory Hill has heated up the Adelaide restaurant and bar scene serving up the real-deal - fresh, big flavoured Mexican and Latin American cuisine.
After finding his feet in Adelaide, Hill teamed up with restauranteur Walter Ventura to bring Lucky Lupita’s, first to the suburbs then into North Adelaide, with a slick fit-out and a fiesta of textures and flavours. Teaming up again, Hill and Ventura curbed four years of lunch time hunger with Lucky Lupita’s city sister United Latino Cocina.
Next Hill and team added a Korean twist to his authentic Mex flavours at Hispanic Mechanic – A quirky South American bar meets white tiled mechanic showroom that serves up a crowd worthy menu, with off the charts house-made chilli sauces. With creativity and energy seemingly endless with the Hill-Ventura team they soon after opened the doors to Mexican Society of Chinatown on vibrant Gouger Street – flipping street food for high-end, long-session dining.
Known for his equally colourful fit-outs as his spicy and complex dishes, Gregory Hill diners will by no means settle for a homemade taco again!
