A family history of really good food.
Having worked in some of the most prestigious kitchens around the world for almost two decades, you’d never guess that Analiese Gregory was put off from a career in food quite early on thanks to a prestigious award received by her father, Mark Gregory – the first New Zealander to recieve the Meilleur Ouvrier de France.
Her family history soon took over, however, and she began to build a CV with experience from the likes of The Ledbury in London, Le Meurice in Paris, Quay in Sydney and Bras in the Aubrac, France.
After a stint with Mitch Orr at ACME, she founded Bar Brosé in Darlinghurst, a homage to Michel Bras, where she showcases “loosely French” food with influences from Chinese, Spanish and Moroccan cuisines.
