Duncan Welgemoed is head chef of Africola, a South African restaurant in Adelaide’s East End.
Duncan has long been hailed as the ‘bad boy’ of the Adelaide food scene, cooking in fire pits with hot coals and whole joints of meat.
Born and raised in South Africa, he learned his trade under the guidance of Heston Blumenthal and Gordon Ramsay in London before setting a course for South Australia.
