Exposure to international flavours happened at an early age for Garima. Sparked by her father’s travels, Garima would taste the flavours of the world in each dish he created in their home kitchen.
Garima started her food journey travelling from Mumbai to Paris studying at Le Cordon Bleu. Following Paris Garima worked with some of the biggest names in the industry like Rene Redzepi at Noma, Gordon Ramsay and Gaggan Anand.
Having opened her own restaurant in Gaa in Bangkok in 2017, Garima returned to Mumbai to cook alongside Chef Prateek at Masque working with seasonal ingredients. The pursuit of local flavours is key, with flavours, spices and produce allowing them to shape their menu ensuring it is reflective of the local region.
She was the first Indian female chef to be awarded a Michelin star.
