Adelaide locals will remember Tim Montgomery for his award winning modern-French restaurant The Manse on Tynte Street, and Australian foodie fans will recognise him from his head-chef days at Bacchus in Brisbane.
At Bacchus, Montgomery was awarded a total of four Chef’s Hats in the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide, and the restaurant was ranked 43rd in Australian Gourmet Traveller’s Top 100 Australian Restaurants for 2014.
Whatever he’s remembered for, he’s always been a big fan of sourcing local ingredients and creating balanced dishes with lots of flavour. Recently, Montgomery opened burger eatery Rascal in Newcastle, a fusion of an American diner eatery created with local, seasonal produce.
