Sunset dining calls for cocktails — and that’s where Twenty Third Street Distillery comes in. The Riverland label is sending its best to the Stamford Grand’s Promenade Restaurant for a four-course dinner.
Gaze across Glenelg beach while enjoying a set menu featuring produce from across South Australia. Promenade executive chef Darren Greenwood spent 10 years working overseas before returning home in 2018; his passion is fresh, bold fare with low food miles. Each of this dinner’s courses will be matched with a cocktail made at a purpose- built station within the restaurant. Twenty Third Street Distillery was built in 1914 and resurrected in 2016 with twenty-first century technology. Its spirits — which include gin, brandy, whiskey and vodka — continue to win global awards, including a gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for the Prime 5 brandy. The Promenade Restaurant’s windows open directly on to the Glenelg esplanade, perfect for people-watching and enjoying the ocean air.
