Take off for an overnight journey that will immerse you in the beautifully wild Flinders Ranges.
Delicious local fare, time exploring the ancient landscape and a bed with views to the stars await you on this Tasting Australia adventure.
You’ll leave Adelaide on Saturday morning and travel with Platinum Air to Rawnsley Park Station, an acclaimed property bringing luxe touches to bush life.
The 12,000 hectare working sheep station includes the Woolshed Restaurant, where you’ll have lunch before touring Ikara/Wilpena Pound. After the tour — which includes a short walk into the pound and a visit to Hills homestead, time permitting — you will return to Rawnsley Park and settle into your eco villa accommodation.
Each offers uninterrupted views of the ranges and an over-bed skylight, perfect for stargazing. A four-course lamb tasting dinner will be hosted in the Woolshed Restaurant, with matched Clare Valley wines accompanying each dish.
Watch the sun sink over the Flinders Ranges and wake to breakfast on your villa’s deck before continuing to explore the region. Tour Bunyeroo and Brachina gorges, home to wildlife including rock wallabies, emus, kangaroos and eagles.
Lunch will be served at the Prairie Hotel in Parachilna, renowned for innovative dishes with native and feral food twists. Explore the old copper mining town of Blinman before returning to Rawnsley Park and your flight back to Adelaide.
