Taste of the Winter Eyre
South Australia’s far west coast in winter is something special: raw, pristine beauty and nature at its best. The community-owned Ceduna Foreshore Hotel invites you to spend an evening enjoying sumptuous local fare.
This Winter Series event will be hosted by Ceduna local John Retsas, with dishes to be paired with selections from his Barossa label First Drop Wines. Adelaide’s Pirate Life Brewing will supply beers, including a limited-edition Eyre roasted coffee porter, with Quorn distillery Flinders Gin also sending its best.
With plenty of local producers and suppliers on hand you’ll have ample time to learn more about the food and beverage industry thriving in this unique region of South Australia. Expect a three-course tasting menu featuring Eyre Peninsula seafood such as Zippels oysters from Smoky Bay – and a lesson on how to shuck them – plus Arno Bay smoked kingfish and Venus Bay prawns. Diners will also enjoy a Boston Bay Smallgoods selection, Dog Fence Honey from Ceduna and locally sourced lamb, along with an assortment of Haigh’s chocolates.
