Tasting Australia invites you to the party — whether that’s an exclusive look at Town Square as its gates open for the first time in 2020, a rollicking drinks bonanza or a meal at the dazzling d’Arenberg Cube promising mystery and magic. Here are our top five festival parties . . .
1. Preview Party Served by RAA Travel
Town Square — in Adelaide’s Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga — is back and better than ever. Your ticket includes wine and drinks tastings, beverages from the bar and food from the square’s vendors.
Go next level at the all-inclusive VIP Preview Party Served by RAA Travel, where chefs including Sat Bains, Darren Robertson and Emma McCaskill will serve snacks around the Town Square fire pit. Festival beverage director Nick Stock and East End Cellars will have plenty of treats on hand; think a glass of Pol Roger and extra-special vintages saved for the occasion. 2. Love Potions
Tasting Australia has gathered 30 of the nation’s hottest beverage producers for a free-spirited fiesta. Catering the party is Belles Hot Chicken, who'll be sending substantial canapés your way. Expect Nashville classics: wings, ribs, spicy chicken sliders and the vegetables that love them.
“This will be my second time at Tasting Australia,” says Belles founder Morgan McGlone. “The first time I was astounded by how different it is to other festivals.”

3. Curiouser and Curiouser
Take a hedonistic journey of discovery and extravagance with d’Arenberg Cube Restaurant head chef Brendan Wessels and Fabian Lehmann of Maxwell Restaurant. Forget convention – this food and wine adventure will tantalise every sense.

4. Glasshouse Kitchen: Adam Liston, Dan Hong, Aaron Turner, Raymond Capaldi, Max Sharrad
Adam Liston has gathered some of his favourite folk to see the 2020 festival out in style. Guests at this roving food party are in for a wild ride; a traditional seated meal will be eschewed for a feast that celebrates the possibilities of dining in Australia right now.
“I’m proud that we’ve curated an event with chefs working in Australia who all have huge followings for different reasons,” Liston says. “It’s an all-Australian line-up to close the event.

5. Lot.100 Ultimate Pizza Party
Head for the (Adelaide) Hills and bring your appetite: Australia’s best pizza makers are set to sling their coveted creations. Slices from will be on offer from the people behind Pizzateca (McLaren Vale), Pizza e Mozzarella (Adelaide) and Si Paradiso (Western Australia), with drinks from Mismatch Brewing Co, Hills Cider, Adelaide Hills Distillery, Vinteloper and Ashton Valley Fresh.
