Established in 1849, Yalumba is Australia’s most historic family owned winery. A fiercely independent fine wine producer in the Eden Valley, Yalumba is driven by the preservation of provenance, progressive thinking, sustainability and excellence.
Yalumba winemaking embraces the art of letting go, integrating specific philosophies into the vineyards and winery including organic and biodynamic practices, wild ferments and vegan-friendly practices. Yalumba wines are made with the least intervention – but as much knowledge, confidence and expertise – as possible. These wines show their provenance and natural appellation – whether it be a single site, a variety or blend.
Housed in the building that was originally a Brandy Bond store in 1950, the Yalumba Wine Room gives guests the opportunity to experience everything Yalumba has to offer, and wine tasting is only the beginning. Rich in history, the Yalumba wine room is accessible 7 days-a-week, 10am – 5pm and offers a range of experiences. This includes tastings and tasting flights, exclusive and behind the scenes tours of our famous on-site Cooperage, vineyard tours—where guests can taste the wine in the vineyard from which the fruit is sourced—and a look through the Hill-Smith Family Museum.
