Alkina x Palmer: A Rockstar Long Lunch
Geology education for most people begins and ends in a high school classroom. For one of the Barossa’s most beautiful wineries, however, it’s an art form.
Alkina Wine Estate invites you to a rockstar long lunch with a difference. Taste some incredible bottles sourced from grapes grown on limestone and schist. This is quite literally a down-to-earth experience that will see guests tour one of Alkina’s soil pits for a full immersion in how geology can shape vineyard output.
Two of Adelaide’s top culinary talents – Trent Lymn of 2KW and Barrio Argentinean Eatery, and Fishbank’s Tony Carroll – will harness the properties of schist and limestone in a decadent four-course menu forged in fire and ice. Feel the influence of the local land and geology across every aspect of this unique lunch, set to showcase not only Alkina’s wines but a selection of fine wines from around the globe, paired with amazing local produce and culinary ingenuity.
This event can cater to vegetarian, vegan, coeliac and dairy free dietary requirements. For any other requirements please contact the event organiser prior to purchasing.
