Passionate about grenache and syrah? Look no further. And if you have a thing for rocks, soils and terroirs, you’ll be even more delighted to know that this dinner will investigate the concept of micro-terroir and taste wines grown in schist versus sand versus limestone versus clay.

Compare the best Barossa Grenache and Shiraz to stellar examples from McLaren Vale, and then to those from France’s Côte Rôtie and Chateauneuf-du-Pape. The evening will begin with canapes and champagne in the Mount Lofty House cellar before a six-course dinner created by Hardy’s Verandah head chef Jin Choi.

This very special occasion will be hosted by Alkina's managing director Amelia Nolan and Mount Lofty House wine director Liinaa Berry.
