Join one (or all three!) Literary Lunches celebrating the magic that happens when local literary talent, local produce and local wine converge.

An exclusive experience not to be missed, these curated lunches will allow you to get up-close-and-personal with some of our State's favourite award-winning, best-selling and creative writers in a relaxed atmosphere.

Tuesday 3 May:
Wine & dine with poet, author and bookseller Molly Murn. Molly’s book Heart of the Grass Tree is an exquisite, searing and hope-filled debut novel set on KI about mothers and daughters and family stories, about country and its living history. Enjoy a delicious lunch made with local Australian native ingredients.

Wednesday 4 May:
Meet author Katherine Tamiko Arguile (The Things She Owned) and learn about her new book, Meshi. For Katherine, the Japanese food her mother cooked was a portal to a part of her that sometimes felt very far away. In Japan, food is never just food: it expresses a complex and fascinating history, tied to tradition and spirituality that has endured for centuries. With rich, visceral prose, vivid insight and emotional honesty, Meshi reveals the culture and spirit infused into Japanese food, one of the most beloved cuisines on the planet. Enjoy traditional Japanese cuisine and local wine.

Thursday 5 May:
Over high tea and bubbles, get up close and personal with Victoria Purman, Australian top ten and USA Today bestselling fiction author. Victoria will be talking about the role food has played in her historical fiction novels, especially the restrictions of rationing and menu staples during World War One, when her latest book The Nurses’ War, is set. Food can be an evocative tool for writers to take readers back to a time before the array of flavours and cuisines Australians are so lucky to enjoy today.
