Overview

Discover the 50-year legacy of a very special vineyard whose story is woven throughout Australian wine history.

Be welcomed to The White House in McLaren Vale for a guided tasting experience led by Australian winemaker Peter Fraser and accompanied by local hors d'oeuvres. Your tasting will include current releases and museum wines from the Hickinbotham Vineyard.

This is a rare opportunity to explore this premium Clarendon site, delve deeper into the first wines to bear the Hickinbotham name and take in magnificent views over the vines. Tickets to this Tasting Australia event include return bus transfers from Town Square.

First planted in 1971 to dry-farmed cabernet sauvignon and shiraz, Hickinbotham Vineyard is situated on the high elevation hills of Clarendon, a sub region along the northern edge of McLaren Vale in South Australia. The vineyard historically produced fruit for many of Australia’s most iconic producers but was not bottled under its own label until 2012. Led by winemakers Christopher Carpenter and Peter Fraser and viticulturist Michael Lane, Hickinbotham Vineyard wines continue its 50-year legacy. The vineyard has been farmed according to organic and biodynamic practices since 2019.

Tickets include return transfer from Town Square, leaving the CBD at 2pm and arriving back at 6pm.

This event can cater to vegetarian, vegan, coeliac and dairy free dietary requirements. For any other requirements please contact the event organiser prior to purchasing.
