Spend an afternoon exploring Ngeringa – a working biodynamic farm near Mount Barker – on an immersive tour that includes the neighbouring UKARIA Cultural Centre and an al fresco musical performance.  

The trio set to prepare your dinner are among Australia’s top talent. Tasting Australia festival co-director Darren Robertson (Three Blue Ducks) blends his fine-dining background with the ease of Byron Bay’s beach lifestyle, turning out plates guided by the freshest fare. He’ll be joined by award-winning pastry chef Lauren Eldridge of Berowra Waters Inn near Sydney, who came to the restaurant following stints in lauded establishments across Australia, France and Italy. Rounding out the lineup is South Australian star Shannon Fleming – a champion of Adelaide Hills produce through his work at Hay Valley’s Lot 100. 

You’ll tour Ngeringa’s productive paddocks alongside Erinn Klein, learning about their early life as the source of botanical ingredients for Jurlique skin care, before a wine tasting at the Ngeringa cellar door. Then meander through UKARIA’s magnificent gardens where you will be enchanted by musicians, who will perform throughout the journey and usher you further into this magical place. 

Canapés and a three-course dinner in UKARIA’s main hall will follow. Expect a meal that befits the spectacular site surrounding you – one conjured by true culinary maestros.

Our menus utilise regional produce at the height of its season and take months of careful planning. Many of the dishes featured will not be adaptable for particular dietary requirements. Read more information here. This event can cater to vegetarian and coeliac dietary requirements, although the menu may not be designed or executed by the visiting chefs.
