There’s a grenache revival under way – and Yangarra Estate Vineyard’s Peter Fraser is leading the movement. Join the McLaren Vale master for this in-depth tasting. You’ll explore this versatile variety and learn about its increasing popularity. Taste through the diverse expressions of grenache, paired with specially curated dishes by Tasting Australia Festival Co-Director Karena Armstrong and The Salopian Inn.

Yangarra’s grenache continues to attract high praise from critics. The 2016 High Sands grenache captures the essence of Yangarra’s prized old vines and was named 2020 Wine of the Year at the Halliday Wine Companion Awards. The 2018 High Sands grenache also received widespread acclaim, attracting 98 points from Tasting Australia drinks curator Nick Stock.

Winemaker Peter Fraser – based at Yangarra since 2000 – is recognised for his leadership with Blewitt Springs grenache and shiraz. His approach relies on observing, questioning and responding to the nuances of each vintage, yielding honest and confident wines of provenance.

Tickets include return transfer from Town Square, leaving the CBD at 12pm and arriving back at 5pm.
