Grow mushies. Cook mushies. Step inside LOTWST, an urban gourmet mushie farm, for a fun-filled session of tasty snacks and fungi facts. Chief mushie whisperer Adam Bray will be dishing out loads of interesting information on mushrooms, with behind-the-scenes insights on small-scale mushie cultivation and how you may be able to start growing yourself. See and touch a plethora of different live specimens all grown on site and sold to some of South Australia’s best chefs.

While all this goes down Aaron Sanders – a top 10 MasterChef Australia contestant – will be rattling the pans and providing numerous mushie-based snacks. There will also be a live cooking demonstration with a question-and-answer session, teaching you the basics of how to prepare different varieties of gourmet mushrooms at home. Get a peek inside the fruiting chamber where you can take a photo with an epic wall of mushies!

All attendees will receive a ready-to-grow oyster mushie kit to get their home growing journey started.


  • Food: The following selection of canapes and substantial snacks will be served while guests are standing: Mushroom sliders, mushroom skewers cooked on hibachi grill, lion’s mane steaks, smoked oyster mushroom, mushroom cold roll with dipping sauce, mushroom risotto and pizzas
  • Beverages: Glass of sparkling wine on arrival, with non-alcoholic sparkling beverage option also available
  • Additional items: Take-home mushroom kit
