A weekend on the Limestone Coast

This diverse geographic region is home to more than 40 cellar doors in five winemaking sub-regions, with some of South Australia’s best red wine ready for tasting.

Take a stroll along the Coonawarra Wineries Walking Trail, with five wineries along a five-kilometre strip, including Brand’s Laira CoonawarraDiGiorgio Family Wines, Redman Wines, Wynns Coonawarra Estate and Zema Estate. The trail also links up with two foodie stops, the Coonawarra Store and Fodder Restaurant.

Stop in for a break at the iconic Coonawarra Store and warm up with a speciality coffee and homemade cake. You can even order a picnic basket to take with you on the walking trail.

Finish the trail with a delicious lunch at Fodder Restaurant, cooked in the wood-fired oven.

Buy direct from growers, producers and makers at the Robe Farmers’ Market and explore the seaside town’s punchy wines and seafood delicacies. Book in at Sails At Robe for some local seafood and wine to share, or head over to the Caledonian Inn for traditional pub-style food with a local twist.
