Charlie Lu, born and raised in Taiwan, moved to Australia in 2013. He pursued his culinary studies at Le Cordon Bleu Sydney and honed his skills at Ume Restaurant, known for its Japanese fusion fine dining. In 2019 Lu relocated to Adelaide, working at Hardy’s Verandah Restaurant for two and a half years. He joined Muni in 2022 and was appointed head chef in October 2023.
His cooking style, a unique blend of Taiwanese and Japanese fusion, is influenced by his grandmother and chef Kerby Craig of Ume Restaurant. Together with the Muni team, he continues to create fun, heartwarming dishes for everyone.
