Professor John Carty is a leader in the Australian cultural landscape, working with Aboriginal artists and communities across Museums, Repatriation, Art and Food projects. Some of these projects become books, like Balgo: Creating Country (2021), Indigenous Australia: Enduring Civilisation (2015) and Sun & Shadow: art of the Spinifex people (2023). Other projects become exhibitions such as Yidaki: didjeridu and the sound of Australia (2017).  And some projects become food experiences to share during Tasting Australia, working with traditional custodians and chefs such as Ben Shewry and Danielle Alvarez.  John is currently Professor of Museum studies at Adelaide University. He also likes wine.
