Sophie Carbonneau

Sophie Carbonneau is originally from the Canadian city of Montreal and since 2013 has worked as national sales and education manager and senior buyer with Bibendum Wine Co – one of Australia’s leading fine wine import and distribution businesses.

Carbonneau has 20 years of experience in the wine industry, with one decade spent as a sommelier in Australia and abroad, and another working in wine imports. She is WSET Diploma-certified and travels annually to Europe on buying trips, with visits to Australian wine regions and producers each month. Carbonneau has also judged several wine competitions and is making her first appearance at Tasting Australia in 2024.
