Tim Kenny

What started out as an affinity for home brewing promptly turned into a full-blown career for South Australian brewer and Pirate Life team leader Tim Kenny. 

After time spent honing his craft in the Adelaide Hills, Kenny joined the Pirate Life crew as a production brewer in 2018. His aptitude on the brewkit was immediately evident, and saw his role expand into both the cellar and laboratory.  

Today, after nearly a decade in the game, he’s focussed on managing a team of brewers, training and education, and – along with the rest of the leadership team – ensuring production is as tight as it can be at Pirate Life HQ.  

Kenny’s natural ability to communicate with people on brewing processes and beer styles makes him a formidable mentor and he’s the ideal presenter for interactive events such as those at Tasting Australia.
