In this fast-paced, single elimination competition, every round comes down to just one pour – testing precision, creativity and nerves under pressure in front of a live audience.

Hosted by My Kingdom for a Horse Coffee, with milk proudly supplied by Adelaide Hills dairy Tweedvale Milk, our Latte Art Smackdown celebrates the skill, artistry and passion that fuel Adelaide’s coffee culture. Expect creativity, precision and nerves of steel as competitors push their skills to the limit in pursuit of latte art glory. This is a coffee showdown you won’t want to miss.

Event details

When: Saturday 16 May, 2:30pm briefing & 3pm start
Where: Town Square Cafe – My Kingdom for a Horse, Victoria Square, Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga
Who: Baristas and coffee professionals working in South Australian cafés, restaurants, bars and hospitality venues. Competitors must be 18 years or older.
How it works: Competitors will go head-to-head using the same coffee, milk and equipment, creating latte art under time pressure and in front of a live audience. Each round will challenge baristas to deliver clean, consistent and creative pours as they progress through the competition.
The goal: Impress the judges with precision, technique and visual impact to advance through the rounds and ultimately be crowned Latte Art Smackdown Champion.
