Tasting Australia presented by RAA Travel is one of Australia’s longest running eating and drinking festivals. People, produce and place lie at the heart of its existence.  Each autumn audiences step beyond a standard food festival and discover deliciously different experiences to feed their curiosity. Indulgent lunches with friends, boutique beverages served fireside in Town Square and menus created by world-class chefs are just a taste. The festival began in 1997 and continues to deliver both innovative events and the informal excellence our state does so well.

The next edition of Tasting Australia presented by RAA Travel will take place from 3–12 May 2024. 

 

Facts and Figures

Tasting Australia presented by RAA Travel is owned and managed by Events South Australia, a division of the South Australian Tourism Commission.

Tasting Australia is led by Co-Festival Directors Darren Robertson (Three Blue Ducks, NSW) and Karena Armstrong (Salopian Inn, SA). Meira Harel and Banjo Harris Plane are Co-Drinks Curators.

More than 68,000 people visited the Town Square hub in Adelaide’s Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga over the 10 days of Tasting Australia 2023 – a festival record. Tasting Australia featured more than 150 events in all 12 regions of South Australia, with over 250 businesses engaged or featured and 83 per cent of all tickets sold.
