Bethany Finn is widely recognised as a pioneer and leader in the national hospitality industry. She was named Hilton Hotel executive chef aged 27 – the first Australian woman to hold the role – and went on to build an enviable team that included the world-renowned Cheong Liew.

Success continued as Finn joined her husband to open the multi-award-winning Urban Bistro, impressing locals and visitors alike for 12 years. From there she moved on to create a boutique dining experience at one of Adelaide’s newest hotels – The Mayfair – shaping a dining concept and team from scratch, and again receiving accolades from peers and the public.

Finn’s newest adventure has been a bold step into the aged care industry. Her role as executive chef in residence with industry innovators Life Care sees her overseeing the kitchen of the boutique assisted living Gaynes Park Suites in Joslin, also guiding the dining experience across five residential care homes.

This latest move is Finn’s way of giving back following decades of community support.
