Greta Wohlstadt is a seasoned hospitality professional and venue manager at arkhé in Norwood in inner-suburban Adelaide. She personifies the pinnacle of dedication and passion in the culinary world. Born and raised in the picturesque Barossa Valley, her roots in the rich tapestry of South Australia’s culinary landscape run deep.
With almost 15 years of unwavering commitment to exemplary service, Wohlstadt’s career has been a journey of continual growth. She played a pivotal role in building Orana from its inception in 2013 to its closure in 2020, serving as the general manager under the guidance of the late Jock Zonfrillo. Her leadership contributed to Orana being recognised as Gourmet Traveller Restaurant of the Year for 2018 and Good Food Guide’s Restaurant of the Year for 2019. Her individual excellence was acknowledged with a nomination for Gourmet Traveller’s Restaurant Awards Maître d of the Year in 2018.
Wohlstadt’s influence extends beyond national borders. She has travelled both nationally and internationally, proudly representing South Australian restaurants. Her commitment to the industry’s future is further underscored by her role as a judge for the Drink Easy Non-Alc competition in 2021 and 2022.
In 2021 Wohlstadt took on the role of general manager at Mitolo Wines, a winery nestled in the renowned McLaren Vale region. Collaborating with Vincenzo La Montagna, she brought her wealth of experience to this new viticultural domain. At the helm of arkhé, she steered the restaurant with a clear vision. For Wohlstadt and the arkhé team, the essence of their mission lies in creating an environment where good culture is cultivated, and the team can evolve and learn.
Wohlstadt was recently appointed General Manager of sAme sAme in Brisbane, as part of the AnyDay Hospitality Group.
