Lauren Hansen

Driven by creativity, curiosity and collaboration, Lauren Hansen has built her winemaking career across Australia, Bordeaux, Austria and New Zealand. Her experience includes time with leading producers Brokenwood, Bannockburn and Balnaves, as well as eight years as Senior Winemaker at Penley Estate, shaping her approach to site-driven, expressive wines. 

She was named dux of the Len Evans Tutorial in 2024, is an alum of Wine Australia’s Future Leaders program, and graduated as dux of the University of Adelaide’s Bachelor of Viticulture and Oenology. 

Now focused on her own label, Bloomfield, Lauren produces thoughtful, small-batch wines that balance precision with energy and character.
