Max Veenhuyzen is a food, drink and travel journalist and photographer that lives on Whadjuk Nyoongar country in Perth, Western Australia. He contributes to key Australian titles and publications including Gourmet Traveller, Broadsheet, Good Food, SBS and The Guardian; and is managing editor of global dining guide The Local Tongue. In 2019, Max established Armour & Haloes, a food and music think tank that explores the space where food and music - Max's other big passion - intersect. A DJ since way back in the day, he's excited to be sharing some of his favourite records with guests at the opening party: expect hip-hop, jazz, jazzy hip-hop and other Friday-appropriate soundtrack choices.
