Dr. Edge was a nickname gifted to Peter Dredge during his first vintage at Petaluma (Adelaide Hills) in 1998.
In 2015 Peter launched his own label, Dr. Edge Winemaking, at the lauded MONA museum in Hobart; with a suite of wines adorned in suitably subversive artwork, matched to psychedelic, melancholic sound.
Dr. Edge explores a cross section of Tasmanian wine grapes and styles arising from long-standing grower relationships. With bottle aged sparkling, riesling and chardonnay, to good old Tassie pinot noir, Dr. Edge draws on experience from over 30 vintages globally. Although a sucker for the classic varieties, he’s not a sucker for classic wine snobbery.
