Punk is an attitude. It raises an eyebrow to fine dining, then counters with something that turns the whole concept upside down. Straight outta Stockholm (by way of Copenhagen, Oslo and London) comes chef collective Punk Royale, ready to send it for this southern hemisphere debut.
The Punk Royale origin story goes all the way back to 2012, when Swedish entrepreneur Erik Gustafsson met future collaborator Joakim Almquist at a ski resort restaurant in Âre. Their first outpost opened in 2015 and hit immediately – brilliant dishes, great drinks and nothing buttoned-up about it. Copenhagen arrived in 2018, with Oslo launching in 2022 as the pandemic retreated. The latest Punk Royale adventures have happened in London, with guests praising food and service in equal measure.
