Simon Caica has been involved in the wine scene for over a decade, gaining experience across every facet of the industry, from sommelier and retail, now to winemaker. After a period in Victoria, he returned to his hometown of Adelaide in 2019 and completed his studies in Viticulture and Oenology in 2023. Along the way, vintages in the Hunter Valley and Orange in New South Wales helped sharpen his palate and skills in the cellar.
Following working harvest in both Burgundy and Alsace, Simon felt it was time to create his passion project, S.Caica Wines. What began with just a few barrels has since evolved into a fully established brand, championing single-vineyard wines from McLaren Vale. His esoteric palate is reflected in each release, blending Old World influence with a strong sense of site and authenticity.
