Rebecca, chief winemaker and a driving force behind Bremerton Wines in Langhorne Creek, has built a reputation as one of Australia's premier winemakers. Taking the reins at just 25, her debut 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon earned Best Boutique Cabernet Sauvignon in Australia, marking the beginning of an illustrious career.

Rebecca’s journey blends hands-on experience with formal expertise. She gained early experience in Clare Valley, Langhorne Creek, and California’s Sonoma Valley, alongside completing a degree in Oenology in 2000. Her innovative approach has earned multiple accolades, including finalist for Australian Young Winemaker of the Year and nominations for Gourmet Traveller Winemaker of the Year and Young Gun of Wine. Her talent was further recognised with a Len Evans Tutorial scholarship in 2004, cementing her place among the industry’s elite. Renowned critic Robert Parker Jnr described her as “one of Australia's finest female winemakers.”

Rebecca is also a regular guest judge for AWRI advanced wine assessment courses and has judged at numerous wine shows across Australia. Rebecca is the catalyst for Bremerton’s benchmark sustainable viticultural practices and achieved certification for both the winery and vineyards. She has also completed several case studies for the EcoVineyards program to enhance biodiversity in and around vineyards.

Passionate about the Langhorne Creek Wine Region, Rebecca is committed to showcasing the region globally. Her efforts have helped elevate Langhorne Creek’s reputation as a premier wine-producing region. Beyond the winery, she balances her career with family life alongside her husband Tom and their daughters, Isabel and Maggie.

Her story is one of passion, innovation, and commitment. From her early successes to her ongoing dedication, Rebecca stands as an inspiring figure in Australian winemaking, leaving a lasting mark on the industry.
