Learn how to make a deliciously authentic Persian soup alongside chef and Iranian community leader Elham Moazen at Ngutungka West Lakes.

Ash reshteh is a classic Persian noodle soup made with beans and herbs that is intensely aromatic, tasty, nutritious and wholesome. It is appreciated at festive occasions such as Nowruz, the Persian new year, but also served throughout the seasons.

Chef Moazen – also a mum, volunteer, food lover and owner of catering business Persian Creation – will prepare the soup for this Tasting Australia event. Discover how she actively participates in the life of multicultural South Australia by sharing the flavourful traditions of Iran.

Your cooking class will be an authentic, interactive cooking demonstration, with attendees set to learn about the challenges and successes of the state’s Iranian community while experiencing Persian culture in a hands-on workshop that promises to captivate, inspire and warm the soul. The session will also feature a traditional and interactive performance, inviting guests to learn some traditional dance moves and Farsi phrases while listening to Persian music.
