Please note, kitchen and food preparation areas for Tasting Australia events are used to prepare a wide variety of food. While reasonable care is taken, we cannot guarantee that foods prepared for guests in connection with this event will be completely free of allergens. Similarly, cross-contamination may occur due to the potential of trace allergens in the working environment and in supplied ingredients and/or pre-packaged items. Our menus utilise regional produce at the height of its season and take months of careful planning. Some of the dishes featured will not be adaptable for particular dietary requirements and the menu may not be designed or executed by the visiting chefs. For any other requirements please contact the event organiser prior to purchasing.

All tickets purchased to Tasting Australia events are non-refundable and are not available for exchange to other events or sessions unless otherwise specified within the terms and conditions. View the Ticket Refund Policy.
Vouchers are valid for three years from the date of purchase. Vouchers are treated as cash and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
Vouchers can be redeemed on any Managed Event or Associated Event sold via the authorised seller of Tasting Australia event tickets. Vouchers cannot be used for any other purchases (including without limitation, bar purchases, town square vendors, merchandise items or any purchases from organiser partners and/or sponsors) unless expressly specified. Vouchers cannot be returned or exchanged (whether in whole or in part) for cash or credit. Vouchers are not transferable.
If you are giving a Voucher to another person (“Third Party”), you each warrant that the Third Party has the voucher holder's full authority to act as the voucher holder's agent for the purposes of purchasing the voucher and accepting the Conditions.
The value stated on the voucher (or remaining on the voucher after partial redemption) is expressed inclusive of GST. Any purchases which exceed the value of the gift voucher will require the holder to pay the difference in price using another form of tender. Any balance that remains on the voucher after expiry will not be available for any use.
The ticketing Conditions including Managed Events Terms and Conditions of Sale and Entry and Associated Event Conditions of Sale & Entry apply to all Gift Vouchers and all references to ‘tickets’ or ‘ticket holder’, shall be treated as a reference to ‘gift vouchers’ or ‘gift voucher holder’ where the context requires the application to gift voucher holders.
In addition to the Managed Events Terms and Conditions of Sale and Entry, the purchase of a ticket and/or attendance at Tasting Australia Airlines or Tasting Australia by Train event may involve the delivery of services by third party carriers or service providers and in such cases, the ticketholder is required to comply with the terms and conditions of carriage or service of this providers, including Corporate Aircraft Charter Terms & Conditions, Platinum Aircraft Terms & Conditions, and Journey Beyond Terms & Conditions.

Tasting Australia presented by Journey Beyond is one of the country’s longest running eating and drinking festivals – celebration and collaboration of people, produce and place lie at the heart of our existence. Each autumn we invite audiences to step beyond a standard food festival to discover deliciously different experiences that feed their curiosity.
Board a Tasting Australia Airlines flight to destinations you’ve always wanted to explore. Savour the magic that happens when local legends are joined by top chefs from around the world – moments impossible to recreate. Sip your way through a wine, beer or spirit masterclass, sampling South Australian gems alongside those from further afield. Head to the heart of Adelaide or enjoy a regional getaway.
Tasting Australia is held in Adelaide and across South Australia. In 2023, Tasting Australia showcased its most diverse program yet with more than 160 events in 12 regions. The Tasting Australia festival hub, Town Square, is in Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga.
Tasting Australia is held annually every Autumn. In 2025 Tasting Australia takes place from 02–11 May.
Tasting Australia takes place over ten days and two weekends.

Town Square FAQ's
Town Square is Tasting Australia’s eating and drinking mecca, located in Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga. Fun, free and perfect for families, Town Square is the place to meet for a drink, stay for a meal and explore. It buzzes with all of the energy of South Australia at its harvest peak, offering diverse bites from food vendors and beverages sure to impress.
Yes, entry to Town Square is free.
During Tasting Australia, Town Square is open from 11AM-9PM from Sunday – Thursday and 11AM-12AM on Friday & Saturday.
Town Square is open to all ages. However, anyone aged 16 years or younger must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. For more information, please read the code of practice and code of practice guidelines.
The purchase and consumption of alcohol is restricted to over 18's. Identification may be requested and checked.
