Adelaide Hills
Yarnarumi Experience
Fri 15th May 2026 at 6:00 PM
Australia’s rich Indigenous heritage meets contemporary culinary technique at Ondeen, a celebrated destination restaurant set amid the picturesque surrounds of Verdun in the Adelaide Hills.
Guests are welcomed to Country by First Nations Elder Mark Koolmatrie around a crackling campfire in a traditional yarning circle, where stories are shared and connections are made. From there, a guided exploration of Ondeen’s “bush tucker and medicine garden” offers deeper insight of native plants, their culinary and medicinal uses, and Indigenous cultural practices. All the while, acclaimed resident chef Adam Bowden and Indigenous partners will host live cooking demonstrations, inviting guests to taste what they’ve discovered.
The immersive experience culminates in a thoughtfully curated five-course dinner that celebrates the flavours of the land and fosters a deep connection to First Nations culture.
