Big Don is driving his legendary 4-tonne meat smoker all the way from Perth, WA, for an exclusive, one-off collaboration in the Arkhé kitchen.
Known for transforming an old auto wreckers workshop into a place of worship for American-style barbecue, Big Don’s smoked meats have become a local legend. Open only one day a week—Saturdays—his passion for slow-cooked, tender cuts is unparalleled. For this special event, the team will feature extraordinary South Australian produce, with meats cooked to perfection and paired with bold flavours that celebrate the region’s best.
Led by chef Jake Kellie and the Arkhé team, the evening will offer an unforgettable feast, complemented by pours of Laphroaig whiskey, adding a smoky, peaty edge to the experience.
The restaurant and courtyard will be transformed into a vibrant, communal dining space, bringing together food lovers for an epic culinary celebration that promises to be the highlight of the season
