An immersive seven-course dining experience at the Marion Hotel that celebrates the producers, flavours, and landscapes of the Adelaide Hills.
Designed exclusively for Tasting Australia, this bespoke event showcases the incredible depth of the region’s ingredients.
Each course has been curated to highlight local provenance, featuring partnerships with some of the Hills’ most respected producers and makers.
Guests will enjoy dishes that spotlight Woodside Cheese Wrights, Porter’s Biodynamic Mushrooms, and Melba’s Chocolates, complemented by carefully paired wines from Mt Lofty Ranges Vineyard. Together, these elements form a journey through the Hills — celebrating the passion, innovation, and authenticity of South Australian craftsmanship.
The experience will feature live storytelling from winemakers and producers, giving guests an insider’s perspective into the craft, sustainability, and innovation that define Adelaide Hills gastronomy. Guest speakers include Garry Sweeney & Sharon Pearson, the Owners of Mount Lofty Ranges Vinyard, and Tom Foristal, the Managing Director of Melbas Chocolates.
MENU –
- Course 1: Woodside Goat’s Curd (Woodside Cheese Wrights), caramelised onion, crisp rye, thyme
- Course 2: Adelaide Hills mushroom consommé (Porter’s Biodynamic Mushrooms, Summertown), chicken & mushroom dumpling, truffle oil, micro herb
- Course 3: Kangaroo tartare, pressed puff pastry, red pepper, Adelaide Hills quandong relish (Native Harvest SA – Basket Range)
- Palate Cleanser: Cucumber & apple sorbet with finger lime pearls (Wildwood Orchard, Ashton)
- Course 4: Chicken, pistachio & Riverland apricot terrine, Jurlique Farm native thyme (Mount Barker)
- Course 5: Mt Lofty Ranges beef scotch (Mt Barker Cattle Co.), truffled potato gratin, Summertown chard-roasted broccolini, shiraz jus
- Course 6: Melba’s Chocolate Marquise, Melba’s milk choc peanut brittle, Heaps Good Salted Caramel affogato cream
- Course 7: Selection of Adelaide Hills cheeses (Kris Lloyd Artisan / Woodside Cheese Wrights), native honeycomb, lavosh, mixed nuts, seasonal fruit).
