Before grapes it was stone fruit that flourished across the Adelaide Hills. You only have to drive the region’s winding roads to see it still does. Partial to both? So is James Erskine. Be there as he shares back vintage treasures from his label Jauma, plus cherry-infused fizz and more.  

An organic Lenswood farm is home to Erskine, who has been at the forefront of Australian natural wine since his first vintage under the Jauma label in 2010. He works with grapes from McLaren Vale, Clarendon and his 40-acre property, also growing 10 cherry varieties and hosting a range of seasonal celebrations including the joyful Jaumafest. 

Get familiar with the Jauma back catalogue at Adelaide favourite Fino Vino, learning about Erskine’s path from top sommelier to award-winning winemaker proud to follow his own path. Chenin blanc, grenache and a red blend will feature, plus an apple and pear cider and more.
