Good Neighbour - Victor Liong x Trinh Richards
Sat 16th May 2026 at 7:00 PM
Superlatives can only do so much. You can note the praise for Victor Liong and Trinh Richards but still be no closer to knowing the joy of their food. You can keep Lee Ho Fook and The Little Rickshaw on your culinary to-do list.
Or you can be here.
Join two of the brightest stars in Australian dining for Saturday night at Good Neighbour. We’re talking next-level modern Chinese and Southeast Asian fare, honed over years and responsible for the effusive acclaim earned by their respective restaurants.
Brunei-born Liong grew up in Sydney but chose Melbourne as home of his two-hatted Lee Ho Fook, opened in 2013 and arguably more impressive than ever. It’s here he melds tradition and fresh thinking, drawing inspiration from global travels to shape the restaurant’s elegant offering. Sydney diners recently welcomed their own version, with Liong also at the helm of a further three venues: Silk Spoon and Bossa Nova Sushi in Melbourne, plus Quenino in Singapore.
Richards, meanwhile, works her magic from Aldinga on South Australia’s Fleurieu Peninsula. The Little Rickshaw is based in a century-old tin shed, its tiny kitchen turning out a transcendent seasonal menu.
Local produce and wine are the heroes. Authenticity is everything. It’s beloved.
Clear the diary. Book the babysitter. This is your moment.
