Callum Hann specialises in the kind of cooking that makes you want to drop everything and run to his nearest restaurant. We’re talking seasonal – often through a nod to his native Barossa – and diverse, with Med-inspired menus to nourish the whole family. Here Hann will take over the Good Neighbour kitchen in a collab with Mitolo Family Farms, grower of your favourite potatoes, to craft a lunch inspired by autumn’s abundance.
The nation first met Hann in 2010 as 20-year-old sports engineering student who whisked his way to runner-up on MasterChef Australia. It proved to be the start of a career in the professional kitchen. Today he co-owns three Adelaide restaurants – established gems Olive and Roma, plus the new Pantry on Prospect – together with Sprout Cooking School, where home cooks and future hospo stars hone their skills.
Take a little time out as Hann gets to work, prepping the best local spuds alongside an expert from Mitolo Family Farms before service begins. Tuesdays are for treating yourself.
