Eyre Peninsula

Seafood rules on the Eyre Peninsula. The freshest catch shines across the region – legendary oysters, prized tuna and succulent marron are just for starters. Wander wild beaches and be moved by the power of nature.

The Seafood Frontier road trip covers 955 kilometres and stretches between Whyalla and Head of Bight. Feeling adventurous? Tick an item off your bucket list with shark cage diving off the coast of Port Lincoln. Relax afterwards with beer and a burger from Beer Garden Brewing, where options include the Salty Session Ale and Cage Diver IPA. Wine is also produced in the region: book a tasting at Peter Teakle Wines or a meal at its on-site restaurant The Line & Label.

The sheltered waters of Baird Bay are ideal for swimming with sea lions and dolphins, while between May and August it’s possible to snorkel with giant, colourful cuttlefish at Stony Point near Whyalla.
