Tasting Australia Club Series - Italian Club

We’re going inside Adelaide’s treasured cultural clubs in celebration of all they offer – outstanding eating and drinking, sure, but also connection and new perspectives. Be there as top Australian chefs work the pass beside the cooks and volunteers who know it best, collaborating on meals to share stories of time and place. Welcome to the club.   

It’s time for a festive feast. Joining the fun at Fogolar Furlan in Felixstow are some of Adelaide’s favourite hospo personalities: Sharon Romeo, Laura and Max Sharrad, Enrico Sgarbossa and Bottega Gelateria. The crew from Radio Italia will be there too, bringing an authentic soundtrack to this very special Saturday night. 

Romeo rules the floor at Adelaide favourite Fino Vino, together with its country cousin Fino Seppeltsfield. Warm, assured service is her forte, evident through industry accolades and an easy rapport with all who stroll in.  

Anyone chasing Italian fare in the city knows Fugazzi, where Laura and Max Sharrad deliver a show-stopping menu and keep opulence the order of the day. Here they will work beside the Italian Club’s in-house cooks and volunteers, using the best local produce in time-honoured recipes. 

Expect standout fare from Sgarbossa too. He opened That’s Enrico in the Adelaide Hills town of Lobethal after an impressive stint at nearby Tilbrook Estate, bolstering his reputation as a pizza maestro.

Speaking of dessert, here it will come via Bottega Gelateria: handcrafted to perfection and proudly running counter to modern shortcuts.
