Mexican cuisine is always apt for a celebration. We figured it would be fun to take it up a notch. This dinner features four chefs ready for a fiesta – and it also happens to coincide with Cinco de Mayo. Think authentic dishes aplenty, with local highlights including South Australian Yumbah abalini.

TUNKI ODYSSEY: THE IRRESISTABLE FUSION OF JAPANESE & PERUVIAN FLAVOURS

Tunki is guided by the joy of sharing – a philosophy the evening’s five-course menu is set to capture. Tunki’s in-house chefs will delve into flavour profiles, ingredients and the various Peruvian chilli varieties, and see how a master sashimi chef breaks down premium South Australian seafood.

Love South Australian wine? Meet its American counterparts. These selections – direct from Bibendum Wine Co expert Sophie Carbonneau – share fascinating similarities to local drops while also reflecting their own distinct terroir.

CINCO DE MAYO AT MERRYMAKER ROOFTOP BAR

Hola! Hotel Indigo Adelaide Market’s rooftop venue, Merrymaker, will celebrate the Mexican festival of Cinco de Mayo with a five-course feast championing South Australian produce. Featuring ingredients sourced from Adelaide institutions like Adelaide Central Market and Samtass Seafood, along with regions such as the Fleurieu and Eyre peninsulas

NORWOOD HOTEL: FINN MACCOOL’S IRISH FEAST

Tradition will have a South Australian twist for this three-course banquet at Finn McCool’s Irish Pub in the Norwood Hotel. Expect bagpipes and drummers, Celtic dancers, fiddle and pipe players – plus a cheeky Guiness, and plenty of local produce across each course.

We’ve united four bona fide afficionados for this Saturday night extravaganza: Trisha Greentree, Adam D’Sylva, Andrew Davies and Rosa Matto.  Stellar South Australian seafood is set to make multiple appearances: look for Kin tuna, Two Gulfs crab, and gems from Goolwa Pipi Co.

SA SEE(A)FOOD THROUGH THE LENS OF BRITTANY

The elegant French cooking of Breton-born chef Stéphane Brizard and the wild seafood of South Australia will combine for one night, showcasing the extraordinary freshness and quality of local waters over a four-course dinner.

SOI 38 X PORKFAT – FROM BANGKOK TO SYDNEY TO ADELAIDE

Two Thai chefs known for their trailblazing style are joining forces for one very special lunch. Adelaide’s Soi 38 will welcome Sydney-based Porkfat chef Narin ‘Jack’ Kulasai to the pass. Look for remarkable South Australian produce, and watch the chefs work in the open kitchen as they bring the bespoke menu to life.

PIZZA MASTERCLASS

Learn authentic Neapolitan pizza-making with iTL Adelaide head chef Mario Vargiu and his pizza master Nico. Enjoy a selection of antipasti during the class, and finish the evening with your pizza creation and a dessert. South Australian produce will feature in each course.

Brisbane chef Tom Jack is flying down to deliver four courses of Italian fused with the flavours of South East Asia. Jack is currently at the helm of Brisbane's Honto restaurant, working over fire to craft some of the nation’s most exciting modern Japanese fare.

MAMA MAKES SARMA

This two-and-a-half-hour cooking workshop is set to celebrate Serbian culture and tradition. Mama, the Vujic family matriarch, will teach guests how to make the Serbian wedding staple of sarma – delicious stuffed cabbage rolls – using exclusively South Australian ingredients.
